St Spyridon church

Just behind Liston you’ll find St Spyridon church. You can locate the church from miles away, as its bell tower is the highest point in town. This church is dedicated to St Spyridon, the patron saint of Corfu, and until today the church keeps his remains in a golden shrine.

Monastery of Paleokastritsa

Above the main beach of Paleokastritsa, on a green hill, is situated a beautiful monastery. This monastery is dedicated to Virgin Mary and is a great example of Greek monastic architecture. It is one of the most famous places to visit on Corfu that if you choose to visit you will come across a small museum with Byzantine and Post Byzantine icons and discover some beautiful seascapes.
